I’m a student! Have been for 2 days actually. I like it. I like the feeling of doing something with my life. Something decent. It’s great!
I’ll probably go back to high school to join the maths class, which means that I’ll be in a class with a bunch of…kids! Funny thing is, I’m dead nervous that they’ll think I’m stupid. Lol.
And my younger brother had his first classes at high school today, what’s up with that? Old guy! The circle is complete. Exactly 6 years ago I moved to Härnösand, 6 years! And now my brother is the same age I was when we moved. He’s the same age I was when I stayed alone here for a month waiting for my family to move here.
I can’t even begin to tell you what a wierd feeling this is. I guess I never imagined that my brother would grow up. As far as I can understand, that’s pretty common with people who only have younger siblings.
Anyway. Back to studies.
Oh btw our weekend in the caravan was great (well I had a bit too much zucchini that wasn’t cooked well enough so I started feeling sick during the last night but I survived that too). We’re probably going back this weekend. I really liked it there, all silent during the nights. But I think there are bears around, Eek!
My face recognition skills are amazing!
I recently had a more or less marathon like thing going on with Smallville. I simply watched all the seasons 1-9 over just a couple of weeks, though I skipped the episodes that I’d already seen.
In two episodes there’s this man, he’s a scientist. Virgil Swann is his name. He’s in a wheelchair, and I was impressed by the way that he played his role. Not many people are able to play the role as a fully paralyzed person good, basically because none of us could ever imagine what that would feel like. But he really did a good job (I assumed that they didn’t just happen to find a paralyzed guy who wanted to become an actor, therefore the assumption that he was acting)
So, now I read an article about Christopher Reeve in the news. And I’m all “OMFG that’s Virgil Swann!!”.
Not only am I stupid enough not to see the difference between acting and reality, but also I didn’t recognize Christopher Reeve. That’s..embarrassing. But then again, there’s a pretty big difference between the way he looked back when he was acting as Superman, and the way he looked the last couple of years before he died.
But still.
Damn.
On another note, I’m leaving town for the weekend. We’re off to our caravan tonight, back in town on sunday. I’ll probably have my phone turned off half of the time since there’s no way my battery will last if I use it. Maybe you’ll get an update. Or maybe not. I don’t know :)
Have a nice weekend!
Well hello there!
So, what’s been going on with me today? Or this weekend? Or since last time I posted something here?
A LOT has been going on!
Firstly, I got my phone last friday. I love it, it’s beautiful and smart and it’s definately my new best friend. It makes me wonder why I even have a computer when I can stuff my whole life into a cell phone. (Please don’t pay attention to the fact that I just said that at the moment, my life is in my compter. That’s tragic.)
I have an app that shows me where the most recent earth quakes weere, and it updates every 15 minutes and my phone makes a noise every time there’s a new one. I’ve never been so happy about earth quakes before!
I realize that this is not logical behaviour at all and hopefully it’ll pass as I get used to my new friend (who btw hasn’t got a name yet, what should I call him?).
More fun news! I went to school today! And I passed my first test as I’d made my homework (internal joke. Homework=deciding what classes I want to attend :P). This autumn I will study some computer classes, maths and physics. I really don’t know where the stupid idea about physics came from, it just seemed like a useful class and it’s not like I hate physics. I just don’t know if I’m any good at it.
But it’ll be fine, I picked the book up at the library and that class doesn’t start until november anyway, which means I’ve got plenty of time to prepare.
Another thing; I just found out that I worked A LOT last month, which means that my salary this month will be far more than I’m used to. But don’t worry, I’ve already found a way to spend the money!
Skydiving!
I want to go skydiving!
I’d love to do it when I’m going to Gran Canaria, so hopefully I’ll be able to find somewhere to do it. If not, I’ll have to wait until next year, and I don’t want to!
It’s something I’ve dreamt of doing for a long time, and I know that if I don’t do it now, I’ll probably end up being one of those who keep talking but don’t actually do it. I don’t want that. I like to see myself as a person who fullfills her dreams, and I intend to keep it that way!
So skydiving it is!
What’s on your bucket list?
Guess what I got yesterday?
That’s right, my nail printing kit!
Of course I had to try it immediately, and it actually turned out pretty well for a first try. I’ll re-do it in a couple of days and show you how it’s done. At least I’m pretty impressed about what you can do with this.
Oh, oh, oh, my phone has arrived too! But I haven’t got it yet, because I have to wait for the notification from the post office. Apparently there’s some PIN code and without it – no phone. I’m so disappointed, I really wanted to get it today!
If I don’t get it tomorrow I’ll probably start crying. Told you I’ve got no patience :P
I’ve got a problem.
I’m beginning my full-time studies at Komvux in about 2 weeks (hopefully), and I’m trying to figure out what classes I need for my future studies at the University. The problem is, I no longer have ANY idea whatsoever what I’m going to study :S
The thing is, my plan has always been to study within the area of computer science, basically because that’s what I’m good at and would have no problems learning more about.
But I’m starting to wonder, will I really be able to stand to live my life in front of a computer, for another 45 years?! That’s a long time! I don’t want to be bored to death with my job by the time I’m 40.
So I’m thinking, maybe I should do something completely different? Something that doesn’t include me spending the main part of my workin time with a computer.
For the last couple of hours I’ve been reading about astrophysicists, pilots, gardeners, mediaproduction, animation, archeology, arcitecture and travelling guides.
The last one is something I’ve been thinking about before, I really love to travel, and I’m pretty service-minded according to my current collegues. I could spend my life in the wide world. I could see everything.
But that, on the other hand, gets me thinking about the day when I’ll want to have a family of my own. Will I spend more time away from my family than with them?
Sometimes I still feel that I’m ay too young to make these decisions. What I decide now will probably affect the rest of my life.
Help me!
Ideas?
I did something fun today.
I finally realized that I will probably flush my current phone down the toilet sooner or later if I don’t get a new one (for those of you who don’t know, my phone refuses to show me my text messages more often than once or twice a week. This means that people who are in a hurry to get in touch with me, have to wait a couple of days for my answer. Lame.
Also, it’s pretty embarrassing when people text me asking if I want to have lunch with them, because it makes me seem like a stuck-up bitch when I don’t answer.
Therefore.. I bought a new phone. Today.
I ended up with an android phone, HTC Wildfire.
I haven’t got it in my hand yet, hopefully it’ll arrive before the weekend or I’ll go CRAZY (I’ve got no patience at all when it comes to this kind of things). I think it’ll be great, the only thing I’e really seen complaints about while reading reviews is the screen resolution. Honestly, I don’t think that’s much of a problem unless you’re used to an AMOLED display like HTC Desire. If you’ve got a Desire, why would you even consider buying a Wildfire? Makes no sense.
I guess the name says it all.
Wildfire
Taste the word. It’s great, isn’t it?
Of course, I got the red one. Which after some consideration is pretty stupid since I’m going to use a silicon case which will cover up the colour of the phone anyway (though I managed to get a red silicone case, woho). But still. It’s red. Just like my iPod.

Oookay, enough about this. You’ll hear more of it (believe me, you will hear a LOT more of it) once I’ve got the phone.
It’s time for me to go to bed. Tomorrow I’m off to sign up for more classes. This will be my first step towards Glamorgan!
..because it’s raining, that’ll make my strawberries grow!
Goodmorning!
No, not really, it’s almost lunch time, though it still feels like morning. It’s raining :(
I have to apologixe for not uploading any pictures yesterday as promised, I finally HAD to throw my memory cards away. I’ve been fighting to get them working every time I’ve used them and I always have to do some recovery thing to get my pictures and..I’m just sick of it! They’ve been broken for a while but I really don’t like to throw them away because I hate buying new ones. It’s just such a boring thing to spend money on. But now I’m done. I ordered two cards yesterday.
Which means I have to take new pictures, which I would, if there wasn’t someone sleeping in my bed. So I’ll take new pics later today and upload them when I get back from work :)
I really do want to show you my new things, they are awesome!
Yesterday was a really good day, the sun was shining, I got paid the day before yesterday so I could afford to spend some money on things I want, and me and my friend had ice cream in the sun. I just felt that life is good sometimes! We need to cherish those moments, who knows when we’ll have one again?

It’s time for me to get ready, I’m off to work in a couple of hours ;)
Ciao!
Wow, have I been doing some shopping today!
I’m not going to say too much since I’ll be uploading pictures when I get home, but I can tell you this;
I now know the secret on how to get perfectly fitted jeans!
Also I’ve just ordered some things from nelly.com, I recently found out that they have Konad Nail Art things, some of them were on sale so I thought; Why not?!
Said and done, in a couple of days I will (hopefully, if I’m not too clumsy to get it right) have really good looking nails! Why pay 60 pounds to have a nail artist do it if you can do it yourself?
I really think that my haircut did me well. I needed that change to gain some self confidence. As or that matter, I don’t have to care about my uneven eyebrows anymore since my fringe covers them ;)
Pics later! Ciao!
Woah, I got a haircut today. And damn, do I look good!
You’ll get pictures later :)
Finally my hair looks good again! I’ve dyed it and cut it, looks great! Pics later (maybe)!
Just came home from a walk to the cemetary. I really do like to walk there, it makes me think of all the people there, about their lives..
Anyway, it’s time for lunch!
Ciao!
